About the ACEOs

Collage Artworks for All

To compliment the Anthology's literary pieces, as well as the audio branch of Experience (as Athanari), I have begun to extend the visual art / tangible art branch of the product. Drawing from the collage essence of Athanari's album covers, ACEOs are being produced.

What is an ACEO? That's a fair question if you aren't exposed to this subset of art collection. ACEOs are designed to be trading card sized art-like products that allow people to have an inexpensive entry point for collecting original or editioned art.

While I do remain absolutely keen on the idea that art should be free, some ACEOs from the project will be offered from time to time on platforms like ebay. The funds from these sales will not be taken lightly, even if they seem marginal. Their first goal will be to host this site. Beyond that they will be used for supplies to product further art-like products. Should this become an impressive revenue stream (it won't), the remaing will be donated to children's art programs - school boosters, national programs, and the like. This is the same model for funds received on bandcamp for Athanari songs and albums. THERE WILL BE NO PROFIT.

Not all ACEOs will be offered on ebay. Some will be available from me directly, some will be available from collaborators and friends, some will be hidden. This is known as the "seed" location of the item. For example, I may place one in a local library, I may offer the Dewey decimal number of the book in which it is hidden. I may place one in a geocache. I may mail one to somewhere for fun. They may all remain unfound for ever, or destroyed.

But art should be free, still. With that in mind, a catalog of all pieces is available here. You will be able to view the piece, the ID number, the seed location, and of course it's title.

Note, if you find or otherwise procure an ACEO, it will be offered in a plastic sleeve. The delicate nature of the cuttings necessitates this protection, however you should feel free to manipulate, add to, destroy, harm, injure, or claim any piece as you wish - just as everything else created under this project.
